Proves that value-for-money does NOT equal to no quality

I found out about the Vue de Monde group a few days ago on one of the Australian travel shows and after doing a bit of poking around, decided, well before I go splurging a couple of hundred on dinner, I'll go see how much I like the food at their cafe first - after all, if they can't even get the food at cafe level right, what more a gourmet dinner?

So off i went today, with Barbara and Nick tagging along and I am happy to report - they do not disappoint. Service was excellent, the food was amazing and very well priced. Coffee was delish which, to me means more than anything in the world most times. I have to have good coffee with my first meal of the day otherwise, I'm pretty much crummy.

Nick and Barbara had the Vue Burger which came with fries served on wooden looking chopping board kinda thing. For 10 bucks, it came with a thick and juicy beef patty and freshly baked, sesame topped, toasted buns and served with fries which was cooked on the spot. When you ordered it.

I had the Vue Lunch Box, which for 15 bucks came in a very pretty red box, that kinda reminded me of my Ferragamo shoe box and it contained an entree (Tabouli Salad), a starter (Smoked Salmon rilette), main course (hare and pumpkin tart) and dessert (caramel slice).

Everything was done to perfection and you could taste the quality of the ingredients that went into the different courses.

The coffee wasn't burnt and didn't cost more than regular coffee.

It was definitely a good way cheer me up from what happened on Monday - good food, good weather and good coffee.
I'm heading back to try the food at the bistro which by the looks if it, is not going to disappoint.

Where the light is.

Nothing much to say - life has been and is still very good and i cannot, cannot ask for anything more.
From friends to love and even down to work - every single day i get reminded how lucky that I've been, the opportunities that i've been given and of course, (just at this very moment...) that my boyfriend's a klutz!!! ha.

I’ve been waiting for my dreams
To turn into something
I could believe in
And looking for that
Magic rainbow
On the horizon
I couldn’t see it
Until I let go
Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn
Now I’m coming alive
Body and soul
And feelin’ my world start to turn

And I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time
To be more than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life

To be grateful.

The first bunch of flowers from HIM - they're the prettiest things:)

Well... it is finally the last semester, the last lap of this chapter of my life - whee.

I'm very thankful that things have gone according to plan - to finish off last semester and then commence on this semester with subjects that I have interest in and with no exams. It's an amazing feeling to know that at least now, I do have some idea as to where life is going to take me in the next year to say the least.

I have been at the receiving end of many a great thing, many many blessings that were so unexpected, yet I'm quite sure I couldn't have done without.

so things are good, life is good and I cannot NOT be thankful and grateful:)

Love is crazy
Pretty baby
Take it real slow
My feelings show
All you have to do
Is never ever let it go
My feelings show
And I want you to know
