This is interesting...

Well for those who haven't been following the ongoing american elections, I think there it is less than 4 weeks (?) to the next elections and there has been tonnes of stuff coming out of America asking people to vote - everyone is doing something. I suppose it shows how important the elections are. I think the decision of the american people has greater repercussions than just in America, but what they decide will affect the world as well.

So, i think the world watches and waits with bated breath about who they decide will become America's next president.

Dearest Lai Mei Mei...

I've heard that you haven't been feeling very great lately - driven by all the incompetency of your fellow group mates - and it's even more particularly irritating that you'll be getting the same grade despite all the work that you've done. And you cannot say anything because that wouldn't be cooperative.

I totally understand. I totally get it and I wish I was around to whip those asses in line.

So, the only little thing I can do, is present McDreamy to you, in his Versace glory, in the window display of the Versace shop at Crown!

Love you.
and smile:)

once again

Once again, I'm writing about how HE has come and gone, although this time for longer. I haven't not seen him for more than 2 months before so this is going to be new. But it's ok - i'll be fine. I always am. I will find things to entertain myself with, all the packing that I have to do so that I can leave Melbourne without worry promptly on the morning of the 14th December. That gives me slightly less than 2 months to get all my affairs in order and about well, 6 weeks left to Prof Prac and then it'll all be done.

C'est fini.

In other news, I completed my 7th half marathon less weekend and the experience well, can once again not be described. The amount of things that goes through your head in the short span of 2 hours is NOT little at all. It gets to a point where your (or MY) brain wills itself to not think about the pain in my legs, or the creaking in the knees. And of course, the fact that Shan, my cousin and HE was around made the whole experience even better. It was a very pretty day that day. 28 degrees! Shan and I even had time to toast and roast in the sun, post run. Almost like Sydney!:)

We had no pre-run photographs because Shan and I always pack our bags the night before and the camera's always hidden beneath a mountain of clothes, deep heat and a whole host of other random things. So, these are post-run photos. AND it's my cousin's FIRST half ever. Well done couz:)

Also, we had very pretty weather leading up to the run. Perfect sun. Perfect sky. It's Melbourne at its best really. My opinion anyway:) Deciding to make full use of it, particularly since I'm such a lover of the sun, there were alot of walks by the river, breakfast along there and ice-cream whilst shooing pigeons away from us, and lastly, a visit to the Aquarium - haven't been there ever, but they've got VERY HUGE sharks and manta rays. The fish were really pretty.

Of course, I get spoilt one way or another every time he visits because someone helps me with the trash and the laundry, trying to fit my quilt cover into my enormous quilt (he has the strength and the knack for doing so), someone I can curl up into and watch tv, a huge enormous plus is that I can dinner cooked for me and I get taken to dinner!! whee. We decided to go to Rockpool (a neil perry restaurant) for dinner and there were cows everywhere. Largely because the place is known for it's beef - the 9+ marble score wagyu and the grass fed yearling beef which are aged 30 days in special refrigerators in the restaurant itself. We thought we walked into the wrong place or entered by the back entrance because it was a little misleading. ha.

Wagyu was nothing like we've ever tasted before - it was better than anything else. I've learnt in the past month that a place may serve Wagyu but if they don't tell you what kinda marble score it has, should ask or if you can't be bothered, then don't be bothered eating it. 9+ marble score wagyu is very fatty, but very soft and it melts in your mouth. It's heavenly. The kitchen and the chef did the medium rare just right and that tiny tiny piece you see in the picture is expensive but worth every single cent. Makes it even better than I didn't pay for it? :) Thanks Uncle:)

So it's goodbye for now, but forever - because there's always a hello after a goodbye.

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair

though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

Up, Up and away!

This post is long overdue being that I was away in Sydney for HIS graduation two weeks ago. How quickly time flies. He's going back to Singapore soon too, finding work and for all those other sorta things one might get up too once you've had your post graduation holiday (in which he very kindly gave up any ideas of Europe or Southeast Asia to be HERE with me).

Melbourne's still getting wonky weather but well, it is warming up and one cannot ask for more - the fantastic sun and warmer days. I'm glad that summer is almost here. I'm terribly sun dependent as I constantly say. Speak about. ha.

Anyway, HE graduated first class which is madly insane. Didn't think I would meet/know first class graduands in my life. Of course, there were those that i knew would definitely get there (hee. becky!). I had the fortune of being there to witness the second life-changing moment in his 25 years of life and his family was so gracious and kind to me (i had wonderful dinners and stayed in an amazing apartment in the city) AND i even had time to enjoy an afternoon with glowy! whee. It was an excellent excellent holiday. hee hee.

So here's the photolog - which of course doesn't do any justice to ANYTHING...

Pre-ceremony.
HE gan-chiong spider because there was a screw up of the uni's admin.

During and post-ceremony.

Post-ceremony 2

Graduation Dinner at Wildfire.
a MUST go for anyone headed to Sydney.

Post dinner drinks and other randoms
Including the view from the apartment!!

and so I must say once again, "I'm SOOO proud of you BABY!"
Thanks for sharing all your joy.

So now let all the light that collects on your plants keep you warm, make you smile
And I will be there with this pen in my hand to record all the while
You'll be laughing so loud that the house will shake with sound
And everything will be as new as the day it was found

It's ALMOST over. I can't wait.
